If you are aware of Phone Gap, then you’ve probably been doing what some of the guys in my users group are doing – looking to target “all” smartphones with a single code base. Adobe’s purchase of Phone Gap is seen by some as another nail in the Flex coffin as it fully collaborates with the rest of the ecosystem rather than continuing to carve out its own proprietary niche. The destiny of Flex will depend upon two things – it’s success in the open source community, and commercial interest. Buckle up…here we go! UI programming is a roller coaster ride.
